Vision

The Vision

To dream is to have hope for the future. Even as we age or face illness, the Holy Spirit enables us to dream and have visions.
House of Bethesda is committed to sharing the truth with those who do not yet know God, directly assisting the ALS patients who are wounded and lost, and establishing a mission base where missionaries can find spiritual rest and develop new strategies.

INVITE

WE INVITE YOU TO OUR VISION

We warmly invite you to join us on this journey. Through the inspiring lives of the most vulnerable ALS patients, we hope people will encounter Jesus, rediscover gratitude for daily blessings, and experience healing and restoration of their bodies and hearts.

INVITE

MISSIONARY

Han Chul Do

Born in the rural area of South Korea in 1960. Having much passion in the field of Computer Engineering, Hanchul was admitted by the Korea University in 1980, from which he joined the Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Hanchul completed a doctorate in electronic engineering and became a Nationally certified professional engineer in the field of computer system applications. He worked as a principal researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), which was a government-funded research institute. In 2001, He left his field and took his family to immigrate to the Silicon Valley in the Bay Area. There, Dr. Do founded the international telephone company, Mission Telecom, Inc., and joined the CBMC, a Christian Businessmen’s Association and adopted the ministry of ‘Missions through businesses.’
In 2015, Dr. Do’s life of ‘die in the flesh and live in the spirit’ began when he was diagnosed with the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, Lou Gehrig’s disease), to which he held on to the calling to glorify Jesus Christ whether he lives or dies, starting his YouTube video channel ‘the House of Bethesda’ to create video contents to proclaim the true hope found in Christ Jesus alone with the only movable parts of his body, his eyes, through an eye-tracking laptop.
Being sent as a missionary through San Jose Onnuri Church (ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians) in 2022, Dr. Do is still living out to his calling and his duties as a missionary.
